GDPR: Enforce the right to delete contact data

According to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), those affected have a so-called right to forget. Individuals who have completed a web form or otherwise left their contact information may request that their data be removed from CRM systems and databases, if not e.g. legal storage periods oppose this.

While centrally stored contact data is still relatively easy to manage, companies have a much greater challenge managing mobile devices and mailboxes. IT has no control over the contact information on smartphones and tablets or in the mailboxes of individual employees. Under certain circumstances, the data protection laws [sic!] do not even allow access to the personal contact folders of your own workforce.

With PeopleSync we enable you to centrally manage the contact data covered by the GDPR. Mobile devices and desktop applications are supplied by our software centrally with exactly the contact data to which the respective employee should have access. The right to delete can be enforced even on your employee’s mobile phones, since all the data is provided via your central CRM system.

We will gladly advise you on the implementation of this solution as an important part of your technical and organizational measures of your data protection strategy.
